Review: NARS Orgasm blusher

I probably should have tried a NARS product a long time ago! Even my grandmother has been using NARS blusher longer than me! However, after far too long, I decided to venture out and start with the mega-hyped Orgasm powder blush. Luckily for me, I mentioned this on Twitter and another blogger mentioned that she'd only used hers twice and was looking to sell it.
I was so impressed with the packaging. It's a matte, almost velvety finish with a secure snap closure. It's very thin so it takes up next to no space in a make up bag and there's a mirror inside the case, which is always handy!

On application, it's immediately clear that the pigmentation is crazy! Now, I like a heavy application of blusher but this is insane! It definitely requires a light touch. Very impressive! It has a deep coral-peach tone which is very different to my usual pink cheeks, but I like it. In the light, it has a golden-bronze shimmer to it.

It lasts all day on me, which is unusual for a blusher. I don't know what it is about my cheeks but blushers normally fade so quickly on me. Maybe it's because they're so round and apple-like. Anyway, the point is, this is a great blush. I'm not sure if it's entirely worth the hype but it's a nice everday product nonetheless.

  4. This blush is gorgeous and you don't even need a highlighter! No wonder is it so renowned. Only thing I hate about Nars products is how grubby the packaging gets. Gr!

    1. This is a darker peachy-coral and the other is a pale pink. They're very differeny but it's hard to really tell in the photos.

  10. Blushes fade on me too! You're not alone! I love this blush. I've hit pan on mine but there's still plenty left on the sides. I actually have been wearing cream blush all summer so I need to break my Orgasm blush out asap! It looks so pretty on you!
