Degusta Box: November

Monthly subscription boxes are everywhere right now. Whether your passion is beauty, stationery or even books, you can pretty much guarantee that there's a subscription box for you. And yes, that includes food! Degusta Box sends out 9-14 food and drink products each month and very kindly offered to send me their November box. Needless to say, I was very excited to see what goodies I'd receive!

Pip Cloudy Apple Organic Fruit Juice

Apple juice is my favourite of all the juices (well, excluding elderflower). This particular brand is incredible. It's very smooth without any sour notes at all. With no additives, it is simply the juice of 3 organic apples. Nothing more, nothing less... and it's wonderful.

Drink Me Chai Chai Latte

You may have noticed that this sample has been opened and then taped back together. That's because, as I don't drink tea, I allowed Rich to try it for me and he got his mitts on it before I'd had a chance to photograph it. Husbands just don't understand the rules of blogging! He described it as "very Christmassy" and loved it so much that he rushed right out to buy a full jar.

Cool Dawn Recovery Drink

I'm telling you, this is genius! Cool Dawn is a herbal detox drink to prevent and ease hangovers. I don't drink alcohol so I have little use for a hangover cure but, in the interests of research, I drank a can anyway. To be perfectly honest, I'd rather have the hangover. The hints of liquorice are remarkably strong and I found it impossible to drink more than a sip.

Montano Italian Cider

As I said, I don't drink alcohol so I can't comment on this but it's gone straight into our alcohol cupboard (you never know when you'll need a bottle of alcohol!).

Salsa & Mesquite Kettle Chips

I blooming love me some Kettle Chips! I'd never heard of the salsa & mesquite flavour, so I was excited to try it. The flavour is more subtle than I expected, with a slight dusting of salsa and a hint of smoky barbecue mesquite.

Holy Cow! Curry Sauces

I haven't had a chance to try these yet but I absolutely love curry so I'm very excited to!

Kent's Kitchen Flavour Shots

Likewise, we haven't worked these flavour shots into our meals yet but our household is very partial to a fajita!

Lindt Lindor Melting Moment

Who doesn't love chocolate? Exactly! With a crisp outer shell and a smooth, luxurious chocolate centre, these star-shaped Lindt chocolates are pure indulgence. In the photo at the top of this post, you can see there are three packets of these. There were originally five, but I couldn't wait any longer!

Branston Mediterranean Tomato Chutney
With a strong salsa flavour, the tomatoes have a slightly tangy taste which gives that Mediterranean feel. I tried it with the Kettle Chips for extra salsa goodness, which was the perfect combination!

I was blown away by what I received and I've discovered some fantastic new products too. Thank you, Degusta Box!

  2. I tried the hangover drink (on a hangover) and I quite agree I would rather the hangover than drink that again! I had to down it in one! It did seem to help, but the taste was horrendous!! x

  4. I did really like DegustaBox at first so I had to check this to see what they're sending out now - still the same blooming brands and products that made me stop in the first place, clearly! I wouldn't mind the apple juice, though...
