What's in my make up bag?

In all the time I've been blogging, I've never once written a post about what's in my make up bag. Now, if I'm honest, I rarely use a make up bag because I have storage on my dressing table but obviously when I'm going away, I need to pack a make up bag with my daily essentials. These are pretty much the products I use every day and I've reviewed most of them so where you see a link, click on it to have a read.
Make up bag and make up

Make Up Bag Cath Kidston
I was kindly given this make up bag at a Cath Kidston press event and I love it! I adore the cloud print, it's the perfect size for my essentials (without taking up too much room) and the oilcloth means it's easy to clean too!

Foundation Hello Flawless- Benefit
As you can see, this is nearly finished so I'll be looking for a new foundation soon. Although I have enjoyed using this foundation, I'm not a base loyalist so I'll be trying a new brand once it's used up. I've got my eyes on NARS.

Concealer Correcting Colour Concealer- Bare Minerals
This concealer is a pain, truth be told, but it's the only one I've got and I'm not going to buy a new one until it's finished. The coverage isn't full enough and, although it blends in perfectly with my chin, on other areas of my face, it ends up a much more orange shade- something I hadn't realised when I first wrote my review. Very strange!

Blusher Prime Time- Topshop

This blusher is a dream! I'm gutted that it's been discontinued. It's the perfect shade and can be built up really easily to go from a light flush to a bold pink look, it's easy peasy to blend and it makes me look instantly healthier. Afternoon Tea looks similar though so fingers crossed!

Eyeliner They're Real- Benefit

This might not be everybody's favourite eyeliner but I don't mind it at all. I like how dark it is and how well it stays on. Yes, it's hard to control and it drives me mad that every time I take the lid off, there's about 3mm of product sticking out the end that gets wasted but it's not that bad!

Mascara They're Real- Benefit

I'm not including my review for this because it was a long, long time ago so A) It's terrible and B) I didn't actually like the mascara when I wrote it. These days, I've learned the best way of applying it and discovered that actually it's pretty good for making my lashes really defined. I plan to write up a new review soon.

For now, this make up bag fits me pretty well. I dare say it will change before long though!

  5. Oooh if you are looking for new foundation, NARS sheer glow is great but Makeup Forever HD foundation is awesome! Ooh and if you'd like to try drugstore, I am loving the Maybelline Infallible foundation right now! :) Everyone has been saying great things about the Urban Decay new concealer too, but that one is on my wish list! :p Loving your cloud makeup bag too, it is super cute! :) xx

  8. I really want to try a Nars foundation next! I hated They're Real (mostly because I kept poking myself in the eye) but adore Bad Gal lash which I think is pretty under-rated in comparison to it's two younger sisters xx
