Blogosphere Tea Party

Anybody who has been blogging for ooooh all of five minutes will be aware of Blogosphere Magazine- a print magazine written for bloggers by bloggers. Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the Blogosphere Tea Party in London and mingle with some fellow bloggers.
Aubaine French Restaurant Marylebone

The tea party was held in Aubaine, a gorgeous French cafe in Marylebone with the most Instagrammable decor ever! Fresh flowers, macarons and elegant white furniture a-plenty! I only knew three of the other attendees so it was a really great opportunity to get to know some new people.

On the journey up to London, I tweeted using the event hashtag and a blogger called Sally replied. We hadn't spoken to each other before but we shared photos of our journey and, when I spotted Sally enter the venue, I went to say hi. Let me tell you, we clicked instantly! She is absolutely hilarious and there are so many parallels in our lives. We both got married in August 2014, went to Florida (for my ceremony and for her honeymoon) and stayed in the same hotel on International Drive. That's weird, right? Oh and get this- she's training to become an embalmer. Were we meant to meet or what? She lives fairly close to me on the Isle of Wight and has promised to show me the garlic farm so I will be boarding a ferry soon for sure!

Needless to say, Sally and I got on like a house on fire and had a really great afternoon. Once everybody had had a chance to introduce themselves, little slates were brought out with the most delicate, delicious desserts. I tried one of the custard eclairs and a macaron, which turned out to be salted caramel and absolutely wonderful!
Blogger event
Of course, since Blogosphere were hosting the event, it was the perfect opportunity to meet some of the staff. I'd met editorial assistant/ events manager/ all round superstar Albertine a few times before so it was lovely catching up with her, as well as meeting web designer Elaine and Alice, the editor. There were also plenty of copies of the latest issue scattered around so we could flick through and discuss the articles together.
Blogosphere magazine
It was such a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon and I'm hugely grateful to Blogosphere for throwing such a lovely event. I wholeheartedly recommend Blogosphere to all bloggers. It's a real beauty- a tome of a magazine on gorgeous paper and with stunning photography thoughout- and has sections relevant to all sorts of bloggers, from fashion and beauty to parenting and crafts. You should definitely pick up the next issue from WH Smiths, Selfridges or online. You never know, you might see a familiar face...
