Sometimes, I regret not being a little more vague with my goals when I set them. In June, I freaking went to Amsterdam but, as this wasn't one of my 101 in 1001 targets, it counts for nothing. I can have the most jam-packed month ever, like this past one, and yet achieve hardly any of my goals. Memo to self: Make the next ones a bit more generic!
#56 Watch 50 new-to-me films 20/50
Rich recommended Eddie the Eagle to me. Although I don't watch many films, I tend to like British-made, feel-good films based on the true story of an underdog overcoming diversity. It's pretty niche, I admit, but it's my thing. He knows me well as this was right up my street!
I have absolutely no idea why I chose this as a goal. I'm not a particular fan of aquariums, let alone hot, busy ones in the middle of London. It's not something I would ever pay to visit so why I made it a target is beyond me! Still, Rich was awarded a day at the London Aquarium as part of a work reward scheme so at least I got to tick it off!
#90 Read 125 books 63/125
Halfway through at the end of June, just as I predicted a couple of months ago! Not the best month for reading because I was travelling and chose a couple of pretty hard-going books but it's still a good 1600 pages or so.
Next month should be good because I've already started ticking off a couple of goals and booked my flights back to Austria! Woohoo!
