Review // Lush 29 High Street Shower Gel

Ever since I heard about the 29 High Street perfume, I've been desperate to get my hands on some. Only available in the Kitchen, it promises to smell just like a Lush shop which, as all Lushies know, is the best scent in the world ever (Yeah, yeah, it gives you a headache etc etc) Unfortunately, I've never been fast enough to snap up a bottle. When they announced that 29 High Street shower gel was going to be released, I was ready and waiting. Finally, finally, I got my hands on this mythical fragrance and it was more than I could ever have hoped for.
29 High Street Shower Gel Lush Review
FRAGRANCE

Describing 29 High Street as the scent of a Lush shop is an understatement. It's the scent of a Lush shop at Christmas. It's exactly the same fragrance as the Secret Santa bath bomb which was only available in the 2013 Christmas collection and one of my favourite Lush products of all time. Officially, the fragrance is a combination of jasmine, ylang ylang and various citrus notes but describing it as "the smell of Lush" is all you need to know, really.

CONSISTENCY

This shower gel is more of a traditional gel formula, as opposed to the creamier releases lately, such as Comforter and Lord of Misrule. It lathers into a thick, soapy foam but lacks the nourishing element of some other examples. To be honest, that's not important to me when it smells this good.

I really, really wish I'd bought more than one bottle. I'll be keeping a close eye on Kitchen announcements to see if it pops up again and also for a new release of the perfume. I can't imagine anything better than smelling like Lush all day!

  7. There was a time when I had to order online and couldn't go into Lush stores because the smell was far too strong for me, in fact sometimes it was too much just walking past the shop. I don't know what changed but I don't notice it half as much anymore and have attended Lush events and spent a couple of hours in store x
