Snow Day!

Turban: Crown & Glory
Necklace: Gift
Top: Erdem for Topshop
Jumper: Emma Cook for Topshop
Dress: Topshop

Yesterday was a snow day! I actually got all the way to work, with no snow or ice at all, then within 10 minutes, it was a near blizzard outside. We closed early so I had a lovely afternoon playing in the snow!
This lovely necklace was given to me by a child in my class yesterday morning. How adorable!

FF XXIV

I love this cover of Millie the Model. Nice to know that nothing has changed since the 60s!

Lately, I've had a massive hankering for buying a caravan and doing it up all pretty. I've been poring over photos of gorgeous caravans and this one, named Constance, is just adorable!

I've been watching Celebrity Big Brother. I know, I know, I'm a terrible human being! This is the first time I've watched any Big Brother since 2004 but I'm such a Rylan fan that I had to watch it! I am obsessed with his personalised onesie. Luckily, I caught a glimpse of the branding on it and discovered it's from Onesie Nation. I really, really want one! We all know I love onesies!

A couple of weeks ago, CITV showed a weekend of Old Skool TV shows. Among the episodes of Fun House, Finders Keepers and Art Attack, was The Sooty Show. I loved Sooty as a kid. I had a few videos and Sweep was my favourite. However, I was not prepared for how amazing the episode CITV showed was. It was so much funnier- and more adorable- than I remembered. Seriously, watch it. It's amazing!

These guys made a full-length live action version of Toy Story. It is insane. I can't even imagine how long it took to source everything. The perfection and attention to detail is mind blowing. Seriously, watch it. Now.

Ooh, and did I mention that I was Today I'm Wearing's Style Star of the Week? Exciting or what!

Sponsor Shoutout: Devon Elizabeth

This month, the very lovely Devon Elizabeth has sponsored my blog. Her blog, also called Devon Elizabeth, is absolutely adorable.

Devon details her life with the most beautiful photography ever. It's hard to believe that she is only 19 years old. To say I'm insanely jealous of her photographic skills would be an understatement!

If you like dreamy images, a personable writing style and adorable snippets of the life of a music undergraduate, I suggest you check it out.

Remember, you could also be featured in my sponsor shoutout if you fancy it. See my sponsorship page for all the details.

Sponsor Shoutout: Just Jane Boutique

If you're anything like me (which you probably are, since you're reading this), you will love some pretty accessories. I have a crazy amount of bags, so my sponsorship from Just Jane is pretty apt.

Just Jane Boutique sells gorgeous bags by the likes of Steve Madden, Betsey Johnson and BCBGeneration. It's not all handbags though. There are also a range of accessories, including some lovely sunglasses. I have my eye on the black cat eye Jessica Simpson beauties!

Check them out, show them some love and maybe- just maybe- pick yourself up a treat whilst you're there!

A-Z of Becky: R

R is for Rich
Well, it would have to be, wouldn't it? Almost 5 years ago, I got to the local rock club to meet my friend. He never turned up and I was left hanging around the bar like a lemon. Luckily, some strange dude took pity on me and introduced me to the group he was with, including this slightly socially awkward guy who pretty much said one sentence to me all night.

However, the next weekend, this socially awkward man was there again. We started having a conversation about literature, he showed me the sneezing panda video on his iPhone (back when they were exciting) and then he insulted me.

He stalked found me on Facebook and, after spending hours and hours chatting on MSN, I invited him to visit me at my uni halls. After that, we were inseperable.

It turns out, in a weird twist, he was working as an IT technician at my sixth form college when I was a student. I'd actually spoken to him 2 years earlier, as a disturbed 17 year old emo kid, and remembered him as "the horrible one with glasses". He'd since grown facial hair, long hair and ditched the glasses, so I didn't realise it was him until he recognised himself in the background of this photo of my best friend. Bizarre or what?

Awesome vintage photo, right? I mean, a disposable camera from January 2006 is totally vintage!

4 years and 9 months on, we're engaged and will be getting married in Florida in August. He is the geekiest geek I know. He is a total loser, he loves computers more than any man should and he can't pronounce the letter H correctly. Despite these, rather major, shortcomings, I still love him more than he probably deserves!

I'm only kidding. I love him more than I ever thought possible. I'm not sure what I did to deserve somebody as patient, caring and devoted as Rich, but I'm eternally thankful for him. I love you, Bear.

25 things fat people shouldn't do #18

"25 Things Fat People Shouldn't Do is an unabashed middle finger to the preposterous idea that any human who weighs more than the status quo does not deserve to live a full and well rounded (ahem) life. The list of 25 is composed word for word from direct lists of sheer assholery found on the internet. These range from the absurd to the profoundly shameful, and I will be disproving this offensive notion with style. May the Chub Club live long and prosper!"-The Militant Baker

Go to bars
Ok, so I don't actually drink. As a result of this, I don't often go to bars or nightclubs. However, I am partial to a pub lunch. I prefer to go in the middle of the day, when they're quiet and you can actually sit down and have a conversation, rather than squeezed in a corner on a Saturday night.

In fact, I wrote my entire dissertation in this very pub. Towards the end, I was spending 7 hours a day, 5 days a week in the pub typing on my little netbook. It was a really lovely, quiet place with soothing music playing so it was the perfect environment for knuckling down to work. The bar staff got to know me and my routine pretty well- large Diet Pepsi (no lemon and no ice) and, at 3pm, a bowl of chips. Perfection!

Monday

Say hello to my car!

Yes, I have a car. No, I can't drive. I tell you what though, now that I have one, I can't wait to drive it.

I've never even had a lesson. I had literally no idea how to even start a car until Rich showed me yesterday. Still, I'll be starting lessons soon and I can't wait to whizz my baby around the streets!

I'm going to pimp him out with polkadot seat covers, a crochet granny blanket on the back seat, cushions and my lovely Sooty and Sweep mascots. Oh, not to mention a Yankee Candle air freshener. Am I going overboard? Probably a little.
I haven't given him a name yet. I can't find one that's just perfect. Any ideas?
