So we've decided on a slight change of plan. The wedding will go ahead as planned, in Florida, with Laura officiating, on 13th August. Everything as usual, except it will be next summer instead.
Luckily for us, we're completely winging the ceremony. In Florida, you can pretty much marry anywhere as it's the person who holds the license, not the venue. As Laura is ordained, she will be able to legally hold a ceremony wherever we like it. The plan is to find a pretty, fairly quiet location in Wizarding World of Harry Potter to hold the ceremony, although we're aware we may get kicked out of the park for that! We're just going to see how it goes and play it by ear.

That sounds like a pretty amazing wedding to me! Nice to see you're so relaxed about it too :)

Yeah, I'm pretty chilled about it all haha!
DeleteOh I am super jealous! I'd choose to get married in front of Cinderalla's Castle in Magic Kingdom ;) Sorry you have to wait a extra year for it all though!

DeleteHaha, I'm loving the laidbackness of it all... Fingers crossed they'll love it and won't kick you out! xx
ReplyDeleteI hope not haha!
DeleteMY fiancé would be so jealous of this! He wants us to get married in the great hall at harry potter world, He used to work there and told me you can hire it out? haha! How exciting for you both, I wish you all the luck in the world, and a quiet little space in the wizarding world!

The Warner Bros, Studio Tour? That's so cool!
DeleteSounds fab! I've always wanted to get married in front of the Disney Castle but of course, when the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened, the Potter-child inside of me changed my mind! Hope everything goes to plan and can't wait to see the pictures next year! xx
ReplyDeleteHogwarts is much better than the Disney Castle!
Deleteso cute, congrats!!

ReplyDeleteI'm pretty relaxed about it haha!
DeleteAn amazing plan... I wonder if I can persuade my boyfriend to do the same thing?! x

Haha definitely try!
Deleteit's great that you can pretty much choose where you like to get married! oo the possibilities!!
ReplyDeleteI know haha!
DeleteCan you marry me instead? Best wedding plans ever!!!
ReplyDeleteSure, why not!
DeleteCongrarilations in advance! How cool is a Harry Potter-themed wedding? Myk and I were planning a summer wedding too but everything still falls down to how much budget we have. Haha. Wishin you luck! :)
ReplyDeleteBudgets suck!
DeleteOh my goodness! My boyfriend would never go for a Harry potter wedding. You are one lucky woman! It's the same here in Australia - the person officiating your wedding holds a license, not the venue, so you can get married wherever you like. Beach weddings are popular here, but I want to have a garden wedding. Jake will never go for getting married in Harry Potter World, so I may as well settle for second best and get married in a floral setting, instead! xx
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool- Much better than the English system where we have to get married in a licensed building.
DeleteIt will be great! Although my husband and I weren't brave enough to actually get married there, we did honeymoon at the Wizarding World of HP! And look on the bright side -- since the wedding is post poned until next year, you'll most likely be able to do it after the new expansion to the park has opened!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I have considered the expansion too haha!
DeleteToo bad the date got pushed back, but you can't beat getting married in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!!!! Hopefully net year everything goes as planned :)
ReplyDeleteI hope so!
DeleteThat sounds so much fun! Getting marries in Harry Potter world i mean :) it's nice that you are so laidback about it, so many couples end up arguing over wedding plans :S xx
ReplyDeleteHaha yeah, we're not that highly strung.
DeleteProbably one of the most personal and fitting weddings I've ever read about! Good luck with your savings lovely, you'll get there!

I'm jealous of your wedding date! We chose it because we wanted 13.8.13. Oh well.
DeleteHow fun! Just be prepared for some serious heat! August in Florida , especially Orlando, is like living on the sun! PS, The Wizarding World is AWESOME!!!
ReplyDeleteI know! I went at the end of July last time and it was so sweaty haha!
