Bloggers trip to Southampton

Yesterday, Helen, Islay and I trekked down to Southampton for a day of shopping. It's wonderful having local bloggers to hang out with, even if they make me feel really old at times! Darn young 'uns! 

Naturally, the first thing we did was play in Ikea. I could spend (and have spent) all day in Ikea, choosing a room and pretending it's my own! 


Wisely, Helen chose to squeeze into the lower part of the wardrobe and not, like I did once, try and sit on the shelf. It collapsed. 

Get out of my bathroom! 


After spending a couple of hours buying cheap stuff that we didn't actually need but just couldn't resist (Thanks, Ikea!), we went for a stroll around the shops. I might have bought a new dress. And a couple of lipsticks. Oops! 

Time for food! Helen suggested Yo! Sushi. I'd never been before, but the child in me was thrilled at the idea of taking food off the conveyer belt! It was delicious and definitely something a little bit different. I'll be going again for sure!


The spicy pepper squid was amazingly delicious! Yes, I ate it all with chopsticks. I'm very proud of myself!

On the train home, Helen and I got out our journals and gave them a little doodle.

Aaw, I remember when my journal looked like that. They grow up so fast!
