Blogosphere Summer Party

Remember back in April when I was invited to the Blogosphere Tea Party? This month I popped down to the Blogosphere magazine summer party and it was just as lovely! Pretty cakes

Of course, I met up with my ultimate babe Sally beforehand so we could have a little sushi lunch and a catch up before hunting down the venue. It was hidden in a nondescript road near Waterloo but, after climbing endless stairs, it turned out to be the most gorgeous space with exposed brick walls, huge windows and lots of mid-century-esque furniture.

When we arrived, events manager Albertine gave us little ice breaker cards. We had to work the room and find a blogger who fit into each category, such as a parent blogger or a blogger who has been featured in the magazine. This was a really fun way to get chatting to others and much less awkward than just inserting yourself into an existing conversation, which is my usual technique!

Of course, Blogosphere put on a delicious spread of cakes which were almost too pretty to eat! Each had an interesting flavour such as rose & pistachio. Yes, the flowers were edible and yes, I ate one.

I'm not really a huge cake fan so I was much more excited by the boxes of Godiva chocolate that were lying around absolutely everywhere. Since I don't like coffee, I wasn't sure on the chocolate pearls (although I did love the tin!) but the gold chocolate boxes were stuffed with praline selections which are my favourite kind of chocolate! Yum!

Not every brand had brought edible goods. Jewellery Box were on hand with beautiful displays of their jewellery and gifting every attendee with one of their signature brown paper packages. Inside mine was a delicate silver infinity necklace and a pair of earrings which are super cute!

As with the tea party, I had a wonderful time! Blogosphere definitely know how to throw a great event. A huge thanks to everyone involved and I can't wait for the next one!
