Halloween OOTD // Ghost Dress

I have a real issue: I can't stop buying Halloween-themed clothes! In fact, I keep having awesome ideas for new Halloween outfits but I don't have enough time (or money, let's be honest!) to carry them all out. I guess I'll just have to leave some until next year. One of them is an absolute banger, believe me! Anyway, I saw this ghost dress on Boohoo and I had to have it despite my already sizeable Halloween wardrobe. Yes, it's got to the point where I have an actual Halloween wardrobe. Someone stage an intervention!

Ghost dress: Boohoo
Tights: ASOS
Boots: Missguided (similar here)
Part of the reason I loved this dress so much was because it's super similar to the ghost onesie I bought from ASOS a few years ago (you can see it on my Instagram or this awful old post) Buoyed up from my success with this size 16 Boohoo dress, I wasn't put off by the fact that the largest size for this one was also 16. Unfortunately, unlike the previous dress, this one has no stretch whatsoever. I managed to squeeze into it but I did feel a bit like a sausage, especially around the arms. Not to mention the fact that the fabric stretched across my bust and showed off my bra. Whoops. Still, it's a freaking awesome ghost dress so who cares? Not me!

It goes without saying now that I teamed it with my ASOS tights (seems like these tights have overtaken my leggings as most overworn item) and my favourite suede ankle boots. I think I'm going to try it with the floppy hat from my witchy OOTD next. What do you think?

Moral of the story: Halloween clothes are awesome and Boohoo's sizing isn't always going to work in my favour but who cares when I look this cool?

  1. That dress looks so fun and you know how much I love you and your OOTDs!! You really make them your own and inspire little me to do more! It's crappy that the fabric was too tight over the boobs because I hate whenever my bra shows while I'm wearing a dress. It's so awkward! :P

  3. This is such a cute dress! I could totally wear it too. Sizing in websites isn't always right, so that's why I hesistate to buy online without trying on stuff sometimes. But don't worry, this dress looks so awesome you look great in it :D Like, Halloween-cute. The hat would add the perfect touch to the outfit indeed!
