Winchester Christmas Market

Yeah, ok. It might be a little late to write about Christmas markets now but I never got round to it and I don't want to waste all the time I spent editing photos. Just pretend Christmas hasn't happened yet. Christmas market mulled wine
As with every year, I popped along to Winchester's Christmas market in the cathedral grounds. This time it was handy as I was already in Winchester for a tutorial with my lecturer so I just wandered down to the city centre afterwards.

It was still November when I visited and the bonus of this was that it was pretty quiet, especially coupled with the fact that it was a weekday morning. Unfortunately, it then started to rain so I didn't really get to take advantage of a trip without crowds.

Of course I made sure not to leave before I'd bought some pomanders but then, erm, I may have forgotten all about them and left them in a carrier bag in the corner throughout December. I'm telling you, this year has been a nightmare for getting in the festive spirit!

By next December, I'll have finished my master's and I won't have started my PhD yet so I'll have lots of time to feel Christmassy. I fully intend to make up for lost time!

  1. Winchester's Christmas market is my favourite! Probably because Winchester itself is my favourite city in England. You're so lucky to live there :) It's great you went to the market in November, it does get really crowded pretty quickly. But it's still worth it, the scenery is beautiful!
