Sponsor Shoutout // Pink Confetti
My penultimate sponsor spot has been snapped up by Nicola of Pink Confetti- a super cute lifestyle, fashion and beauty blog. I had the pleasure of meeting Nicola at the Ice Bar London event (read her review here) and she was a complete sweetheart. That should be reason enough to check out her blog to be honest, but if you need some more persuading, here are three more reasons:
VARIETY

If you've been reading my blog for, oooh, all of three seconds, you'll know I love a bit of variety, and Pink Confetti has this in spades! In a typical month, Nicola might post a beauty review, then some facts about herself followed by some book blog posts. You never know what you're going to get next, and that's something I really value in a blog.

Charity of the Month // National Autistic Society
In February, I didn't have to think for a second before choosing two cancer charities for my Charity of the Month spot. The world had lost Alan Rickman, who I was completely besotted with, and I was- and still am- absolutely devastated. In my post, I mentioned that I'd lost two family members to the disease but at the time we were completely unaware that another close relative was oblivious to the illness within her. She was diagnosed shortly after I wrote my post and sadly passed away just two weeks later, so it didn't feel right to take down the sidebar images at the end of the month. Instead, I left them there until today, when it feels like a good time to highlight a different cause. After asking on Twitter, Helen suggested an autism charity, so I've chosen to feature the National Autistic Society.

Review // Laura Mercier Hydrating Foundation Primer
Who has two thumbs and left their Smashbox primer in an Austrian hotel room? I can't really say I'm gutted since I wasn't a big fan of it (as this review will testify) but I am pretty annoyed I left a £23 bloody primer in a different country. Oh well, onwards and upwards. When I was canvassing recommendations on great primers for dry skin, Laura Mercier Hydrating Foundation Primer came up a lot, so I decided to use my loss as an opportunity to try it out. It's better than the Smashbox one, that's for sure!

What I learned when I stopped scheduling tweets
Scheduling is my life. Scheduled calendar. Scheduled posts. Scheduled tweets. Anything that I can line up in advance and make my life easier. Unfortunately, last month I had an uplanned break from my Bloglovin' promo scheduled tweets, thinking I wouldn't see much difference. Yep, I was wrong. So, so wrong.
Monday
Review // Simple Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Water
As a rule, I hate Simple products. Despite their intentions, I find them drying and they don't have the best of reputations. However, as I'm trying out every micellar water I can get my hands on, I was willing to give their Micellar Cleansing Water a shot.

Wow, April has been a good month for achieving my goals! I should quit work more often...
#19 Visit Oxford

Helen and I visited Oxford but it wasn't quite what we were expecting!
