101 in 1001 XXXV

It's started dawning on me that there are only 9 months until my 1001 days are up and I still have 78 targets to complete. Well done me on completing a whole 23 already in the past 2 years *eyeroll* Some of these are a complete write off (buy a house, learn Japanese, visit Tokyo) while others are already primed to be achieved before the end of the year (visit Florida, read 125 books, get my teeth whitened). Those in the middle- the achievable goals that I have no concrete plans for- are the ones I'm focusing on in the next few months. Hopefully this summer will be filled with zorbing, steam trains and sightseeing. In the meantime, let's look at what I achieved in February and March. Spoiler alert: not much.

#41 Visit a Lush spa
Lush Spa Poole
Finally! I've been planning this for so long, and even had one booked in September when I went to Liverpool but it was cancelled at the last minute. As a congratulations-on-doing-well-in-your-first-semester treat, I visited the original store in Poole for a Synaesthesia massage, which you can read all about here.

Review // Lush 29 High Street Perfume

A few months ago, I managed to score a bottle of Lush 29 High Street Shower Gel in the Kitchen and it was the most exciting thing ever. Without a doubt, it was my favourite ever Lush scent because it is literally the smell of the stores. I know a lot of people moan about it but for me, it's a fragrance that always makes me happy. Then I heard a rumour that you can buy bottles of perfume with the same scent... but they're only available in the original Poole shop. Well, as you may remember, I visited the Poole Lush Spa a little while ago and what do you know? It's true! I snapped up a bottle and I am absolutely in love with it!

Celebrating Mothers' Day

My mum is one of the strangest people I know... and I mean that in a nice way. With Mothers' Day coming up, Festival Place got in touch to offer my mum a day of lunch and shopping with one of their Festival Place gift cardsWhen I was at uni, my mum bought me a Festival Place gift card for Christmas so it's a nice little cyclical gift. In preparation for our weekend ahead, I'm sharing the weird things about my mum that make her, well, my mum.

Book Wishlist // Little Black Classics

If you ask me, the Little Black Classics are genius. Super cheap introductory volumes of classic authors? Yes please! I have a bunch of the first run (you can see my collection here) After the success of the first collection, Penguin released a second batch and they are cheap as chips! £1 for the books of around 60 pages, and £2 for those that are around 120 pages, they're ideal quick reads to try out those authors who may have intimidated you before. I definitely know that feeling!

Nails // Essie Buy Me a Cameo

Because I'm very organised (hah!), I bought some nail wheels or whatever those things are called to catalogue all my nail varnishes. When I was flicking through trying to choose my next colour, my eyes fell upon Essie Buy Me a Cameo, which was a gorgeous metallic rose gold. Unfortunately, it didn't quite turn out that colour on my actual nails.

Review // Lush Mothers' Day Collection 2017

There's nothing I love more than a themed Lush collection. The Valentine's range this year was so good that I didn't believe the Mothers' Day one could compete. After all, it was hugely disappointing last year. What do you know, I was wrong! There's a huge number of products- if we include knot wraps and gift sets, there are over 20 products, and most of them have never been seen before. Exciting stuff!

February Reading Round Up

I went from reading 14 books in January to just 3 in February. That's not great, is it? I don't even know why it dropped so much- I was way busier in January than I've been this month. Perhaps it's because I don't have any short books left over, or because I've been tackling the bloody massive Order of the Phoenix for a couple of weeks. Either way, there's no denying that February wasn't the most productive of reading months.

OOTD // Grey knit dress

Every now and then, I buy an item of clothing that becomes an instant staple. This grey knit dress is one of those. Since purchasing it in January, I've hardly worn anything else. It's just so comfy and it works for every occasion. The best part? It was £10 from Primark! Billy bargain!

Review // Lush Spa Synaesthesia Massage

I've wanted a Lush massage for years but somehow it never quite happened. When I eventually booked one in Liverpool during the summer, it was cancelled when staff discovered on the day that they'd double-booked the therapist. It wasn't until the end of February that I finally managed to experience it. Thankfully it was worth the wait!
