London Fashion Week is terrifying. It is full of gorgeous, leggy fashion types who are surrounded by equally gorgeous, leggy, fashionable friends. Of course, I was expecting all of this but I don't think anything can prepare you for just how intimidating it is.
For the first 90 minutes or so, I just stood around like a part of the architecture, just watching people. I was too scared to enter any buildings in case I wasn't allowed there, too scared to take photos in case I wasn't allowed and too scared to approach people.
I settled for building up my courage by taking photos of inanimate objects first. Eventually, I broke through and took a hundred million photos of stylish attendees but I'll devote a whole post to them tomorrow. For now, here are the photos I took whilst I was psyching myself up.The thing that fashion dreams and nightmares are made of.

Now that I've had time to recover, I'm going to work on editing the street style photos I took. Keep an eye out for them tomorrow and Tuesday- especially if you were one of the people I snapped!

DeleteThe Minnie Mouse collection is adorable! It's too bad you were intimidated... I tend to be intimidated in situations a lot and I can totally relate. For the record, I think that you're pretty gorgeous, too! Bein' leggy ain't all that. I'm short and quite curvy and it's awesome. I'm so glad I follow this blog so I can see the London Fashion Week pictures! <3 <3

DeleteThose Minnie mouse dresses are the most beautiful things I have ever seen! I would buy them but put them in my house as displays. They are too magical to wear and ruin! Ha x

Thank you! I'm not very good in new situations at the best of times. I was so out of my depth!
DeleteSqueeee! Those minnie dresses are the best! I remember when I was but a wee tot, I was super obsessed with owning a pair of minnie mouse ears. I never did it... It's never too late for minnie mouse ears though, right?

Haha I think I remember buying a pair of plastic ones at Disneyland Paris. Then I stepped on them and broke them!
DeleteThis looks so amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteDid you have LFW tickets or did you just visit London?
I want to go to London tomorrow but I have no idea where I can go and stuff!

I had a blogger pass but you can get into the courtyard without one, you just can't get into the exhibition. To be honest, the most exciting part for me was seeing everybody in the courtyard and that's where most people seemed to hang out.
DeleteThe Minnie Mouse items are inside Somerset House, as part of the exhibition.
You got the tapestry jacket!! I know I said previously that its not as lovely as the one I saw on the telly, but it is! It definitely is. I just saw www.whatoliviadidnext.com wearing it in her latest blog post, now I've seen this. I think it's a sign *whips out card, logs on to river island*
ReplyDeleteLoving the tapestry jacket! Love love Richard Nicholl's mini inspired creation. Quite a fan of your blog and I've just begun my own, I'm only 16 and it's nothing much but I would L-O-V-E if you could check it out!I post roughly weekly!
ReplyDeleteThanks x
