OOTD // Brighton Pier

Last time I visited Brighton Pier, it was wet, cold and windy. The weather meant there was hardly anybody on the pier and it was freezing! Just a few weeks later and I had the complete opposite experience. It was hard to find a quiet, shady spot to take these photos! I did try to get some photos under the big Brighton Pier sign but people kept walking through shot. Blogger problems!

My jumper was bought in the Marks & Spencer sale after Christmas. They only had one size left and it was a couple up from my usual size, so I didn't get the close fit that I wanted, but the slightly baggier fit means it's really easy to chuck on over any other outfit. The heart print has this cute retro feel and I love the combination of pink and purple.


Because the jumper was quite bulky, I decided to balance it out with this grey bodycon skirt from Primark. I love the quilted effect, and I originally bought it because I thought it was a cute, stretchy A-line skirt. I was wrong. It's very tight and very short with little stretch, but I love it. It shows my belly line and I feel proper empowered walking around like 'yeah this is my tummy, deal with it'.


The only problem was the shortness of the skirt. I had to put Rich on bum duty, walking a step behind me to check I wasn't riding up, and I wore my thick leggings to make sure I didn't reveal more than I intended to! I finished my look off with the glitter heel ankle boots that have hardly been off my feet since I got them, and I felt fab!


It's crazy to think that just a couple of weeks ago I was wearing this knitted jumper and now it's almost too hot for any clothes at all! This British weather huh?
