OOTD // Embroidered Jeans with CurveWow

As I've mentioned a lot lately, I've been challenging myself to take more risks when it comes to the clothing I wear. At the moment, I'm really into skinny jeans. Having worn nothing but black skinny jeans through the entirety of 2006- 2010, it's funny that these days it seems like such an intimidating prospect. I'm absolutely loving my foray back into denim though, and I've had so many lovely comments both online and off. When CurveWow asked if I'd like to try an item from their collection, I saw these blue embroidered skinny jeans and absolutely fell in love. To my delight, they're even more beautiful in real life!

The jeans are stretchy, so they're roomy around the hips and thighs, but fit closely to the calves (and it makes my bum look super peachy!). Something that always bothered me about denim was the worry that jeans would be stiff and uncomfortable, with little flexibility. These are the complete opposite of that. The denim is soft and because of the stretch quality, it doesn't restrict my movement at all.

They're quite long so I've rolled up the hems a little for the best length. Perfect if you've got long legs, and definitely not a disadvantage with shorter legs as the turned up hems give a cute, casual look. This is my first experience of wearing ripped jeans, so I finally get to understand all those relatable tweets about only shaving the parts of your legs that will be visible, or accidentally putting your foot into the rip when pulling the jeans on. I really love the vibe from the rips, and I feel like the feminine embroidery adds a softness to them.

Because the jeans are so pretty, I kept the rest of my outfit simple with a plain white t-shirt and metallic ballet pumps. With my new-found venture into skinny jeans, I've found I prefer to tuck my tops in as it gives a more streamlined appearance and I get to flaunt my body just that little bit more!

I'm very happy I've started experimenting more with the styles I wear. These jeans have already become a staple of my wardrobe and I know they're going to serve me well!
