London Fashion Week Street Style pt III

Ok, so it's time for my third- and final- installation of London Fashion Week street style. Can you believe I only went for one day? I don't even want to imagine how many photos I would have ended up with if I had been all week!

I love Hannah's 90s grungey/ No Doubt look. The bindhi and choker is a genius touch of accessorising and the vintage kimono is just stunning!

Here is Hannah again, this time snapping a photo of Kavita.

Stella's look made me think of Black Swan, but prettier. I love the contrast of the girly tulle dress with the badass black eye make up. Plus, the dress is Topshop and I love to see girls rocking the high street!

What a stylish gathering! I particularly love the bright blue dip dye hair set against the vibrant orange hat.

Some great menswear! The sunglasses are amazing and snappily matched against the shirt. Also, check out the super funky guys behind him!

Who would have thought of contrasting your hair colour with your coat? Such a striking look. Primary colour perfection!

There are really no words for this. Just fantastic! The glasses, hat and bow tie contrasted against the flamboyant coat and platform heels is certainly eye catching!

Cute, cute, cute! This is the perfect example of making sheer look chic. I'm also in huge awe of the clever top-hosiery matching skills!

I tell you what, I can't wait to see what I spot next season!

London Fashion Week Street Style pt II

Ok, time for the second installation of my London Fashion Week street style posts. Enjoy!

Why have I never thought of matching my tights to my hair before like Amber Jane? The black cherry hairband is the most adorable thing ever!

Crazy sunglasses and a great, eclectic mix of prints.

I love the Minnie Mouse buns. I've been considering doing this lately but I'm not sure how it will look on me. This has inspired me to give it a go.

More hair/accessory colour matching. Genius, I tell you!

Such a stylish couple! I love her head scarf and his jacket.

Speaking of amazing couples, I love this early-90s throwback pair.

Bizarrely, the first thing I noticed was the amazing stripy Converse. Then I spotted the William Chambers hat. Quite a show stopper!

Colour block tights were everywhere. The girl on the left has matched her bag to her jumper with abstract primary colours. Vintage perfection!

Just the prettiest top! I love the pastel colours and floral print, plus the sharp silhouette keeps it from looking too casual.

I never thought I needed an orange bowler hat... That was until I saw this!

London Fashion Week Street Style pt I

After all my flapping about being too terrified to approach people, I ended up getting a massive bunch of street style photos. Too many to put in one post so I'm splitting this into three chockablock episodes.

I love the floral coat and the opaque black tights with black heels. I'd love to try that myself except, you know, I can't walk in heels to save my life!

This leopard print coat is gorgeous. It's lovely to see someone rocking their natural curls too!

J W Anderson x Topshop spider print two-piece? Yes please!

These guys are two parts of an amazing straight-out-of-the-eighties trio. Wish I'd had the chance to snap a proper photo of them.

I particularly love the neon cardigan and silver creepers of the girl second from left.

Just look at this amazing embroidered jacket. Very Dolce & Gabbana! I love how happy she was too. There should be more smiles at London Fashion Week!

Can we just take a moment to appreciate these shoes? They have gorillas on them. Fluffy gorillas!

The gorgeous Gem Fatale was just adorable. Her lipstick is the perfect shade and I love the pretty dress/biker dress combo.

This doesn't really need a commentary does it? It's a gentleman wearing a pocket watch and captain's hat. Incredible!

That's the playground kind, of course! Unfortunately, due to the first-week busyness of work and the mayhem of London Fashion Week, I haven't had the opportunity to take some dedicated swinging photos.

However, I do have this photo from back in April. A rocking horse is close enough right? It's so much fun to just act like a big kid again!

London Fashion Week SS13

London Fashion Week is terrifying. It is full of gorgeous, leggy fashion types who are surrounded by equally gorgeous, leggy, fashionable friends. Of course, I was expecting all of this but I don't think anything can prepare you for just how intimidating it is.

For the first 90 minutes or so, I just stood around like a part of the architecture, just watching people. I was too scared to enter any buildings in case I wasn't allowed there, too scared to take photos in case I wasn't allowed and too scared to approach people.

I settled for building up my courage by taking photos of inanimate objects first. Eventually, I broke through and took a hundred million photos of stylish attendees but I'll devote a whole post to them tomorrow. For now, here are the photos I took whilst I was psyching myself up.The thing that fashion dreams and nightmares are made of.

The amazing Minnie Mouse collection in aid of the Fashion Arts Foundation. The pieces, designed by some of the best London designers, are being auctioned on Ebay for the charity.

I have had a very exhausting, but very enjoyable, week. Today I am planning to take a long, relaxing day (albeit with lots of display lettering laminating!) before the madness that will be London Fashion Week on Sunday.

I'm not sure what to expect tomorrow. I'm very excited, even though I have no idea what it will be like!

I am so excited by the JW Anderson x Topshop collection. This surprises me because I'm not usually overwhelmed by JW Anderson. That was until I saw this collaboration. Look at this amazing bat jumper. I have one winging it's way to me right now (See what I did there? Winging. Geddit?).

However, by the time I got to it, the largest size available was a size 12. I'm sure I'll squeeze into it, although I might have a rather chubby bat on my chest with tiny little wings!

Steve Trewhella takes photos of rubbish that he finds on the beach. They're actually quite beautiful photos, despite the subject matter.

I'm going to come out and say that I think Boris Johnson is amazing! I really wish he would run for prime minister. Not because he's funny, or because his hair is hilarious, (although both of those are true!) but because I truly think he would lift the morale of this country off the roof. His Olympics speech here is the best example of this. Yes, it's hilarious but it's also so rousing and moving. It brought a tear to my eye!

I'm so excited because this week I won two bottles of perfume! The last time I won anything, I was 8 years old and my prize was a bouncy penguin after winning a competition in the local paper.

So you can imagine my delight when I saw my name and image on The Perfume Shop's Facebook page, announcing me as the winner of a 50ml bottle of my choice! I went for Dior Miss Dior. I was planning to buy this for our wedding next year so I thought it made sense to get the bottle for free!

Then, less than a week later, a surprise parcel turned up. I'd been one of the first 100 people to request a sample of Boss Nuit and therefore had won a full-sized bottle. What a great week for a fragrance addict like myself!
