OOTD // Sexy Witch

When I went to London for the Blogosphere Magazine Cover Reveal (post on that coming soon!), Fii kindly offered to take some photos of me. In an absolute stroke of genius, Fii put my SD card in her camera and took the most beautiful photos. Unfortunately either my camera or computer didn't want to play ball so they've lost some of their quality. They're so cute though that I'm going to use them anyway and we'll just pretend they were meant to be a kind of hazy dream sequence. Sound good? Plus size star print maxi dress
This Simply Be Jameela Jamil dress was on my birthday list but evidently it's really popular as it was out of stock and took a good six weeks or so to arrive. Still, it was worth the wait as it's by far one of my favourite dresses of all time. The fit is a bit weird- it's perfect around the waist but baggy around the chest which is a problem I have never had- and a couple of the buttonholes are loose so the buttons tend to wiggle themselves free but I can put up with these small issues.

Since it's button up all the way through, you can choose to show as much or as little leg as you like. I usually wear this with some cute lace-trimmed legging shorts but, erm, I kind of forgot to shave my legs and was forced to throw on the long leggings at the last minute. This is why I would never make it as a fashion blogger! I wore my trusty Missguided ankle boots with it, hoping they'd make my leggings look more like tights and possibly a little less odd but I'm not sure how well that worked.

The star print and long flowing skirt (I wear it as open as is socially acceptable so the skirt flaps behind me like I'm some sort of short, chubby superhero) make me feel like a sexy witch. I'm like a cross between Wonder Woman and Phoebe Halliwell. I can live with that.

Oh, wait. I made a mistake earlier. There was one photo that came out perfectly and it's quite possibly my favourite photo of myself of all time.

  1. Absolutely love this dress, you look amazing! x

  2. I saw this dress a while back on Simply Be and I had the same issue with it being out of stock in my size. Also I wasn't sure how it would look with my body shape but after seeing it look amazing on you I'm tempted to treat myself once I get paid, I'm sure I could live with a few loose buttonholes!
