Travel Brags with Cheap Flights

Back in the olden days (like, the 90s), people would come home from holiday and show everyone they know their holiday snaps- family, friends, the milkman... Of course nobody does that anymore but that's because we all have blogs. And because nobody has a milkman. Come on, admit it. When you're sharing photos of the golden sand in Mauritius or the view from the Eiffel Tower, you're not really doing it to help your fellow tourists. It's ok. We're all friends here and it's perfectly acceptable to blow your own trumpet now and then. According to Cheap Flights, travel bragging is on the decline but I say bring it back! Here are my top three travel brags, and I encourage you to join in!

I GOT MARRIED AT HOGWARTS
Florida Wizarding World of Harry Potter Hogwarts Wedding
Not the Hogwarts, you understand. For one thing, muggles can't find it and for another, well, it's fictional. But being huge Harry Potter fans, me and my best friend Laura flew out (with my future husband in tow, of course) for the best wedding celebration ever. 14 nights in Orlando with a magical wedding in the middle of it? Yes please! No worrying about centrepieces, no fussing about with marriage laws, no stress. Just me, Rich and two of our closest friends in the warm Florida sunshine. Perfect!

I CLIMBED A MOUNTAIN
Untersberg ravens
Have I mentioned this? I don't think I have. I climbed the frickin' Alps! I mean, I got a cable car to the top of one of the smaller mountains and then spent an hour on the 15-minute hike to the summit but still. The point is, I hiked up to the summit of an Alpine mountain, I touched the cross at the peak and I did it all by myself. If that's not something to brag about, then I don't know what it!

I BOATED ALONG AMSTERDAM'S CANALS
Sunny Day Amsterdam
Well "pedalled" doesn't sound quite as braggy as "boated", does it? If you find yourself in Amsterdam soon, you must hire a canal bike (or pedalo, to me and you). I swear, this was the most fun we had in the city- so much so, that we decided to do it again on our last day. Yes, you may spend the first 10 minutes going round and round in circles and yes, you may accidentally pedal into a barge and anger the captain (is the driver of a barge called a captain?) but I promise it's a whole lot of fun!

I'm going travelling again soon, although I don't know when or where yet (this is another brag in itself- we're just going to find the cheapest flight and go wherever it takes us) so prepare yourself for a lot more bragging. In the meantime, I want to hear your travel brags so let me know in the comments!
