It's Friday 13th! The ultimate emo day! To celebrate, Leona, Kloe and I have compiled a list of photos of our awesome emoness way back when. As it's pretty photo-heavy, I've kept commentary to a minimum but I have arranged it in chronological order so you can see the evolution of my emoness. Oh, and Marie features in a lot of the photos. Sorry, Marie!

I did such a good job with the emo here: Emo glasses? Check! MCR top? Check! Bondage skirt? Check! Skull-print knee-high socks? Check! Dowdy pointed toe flats? Erm, what?!?! What on earth was I thinking with those shoes?
Haha!all these pictures remind me of college. There were so many emo and scene kids trying to be cool and used Myspace religiously.

I was definitely one of those people!
DeleteGod I love you. That is all.
ReplyDeleteEmo love forever!
Delete:D I love this post- is it bad I looked at the red eye shadow and thought "I should give that a go".
ReplyDeleteOnly thing missing is the fringe
X
I wanted a fringe SO badly but I couldn't have one because of my curly hair! Boo!
DeleteI wish I had more photos of myself as a teenager, I avoided cameras like the plague. I would love to be able to look back at my own goth phase (I hate to say it but we were a bit older than the emo kids and kind of looked down our noses at them, god I was a bit of a bitch back then). I just have good friends who still like to remind me about my fashion faux pas. Tartan is in again this year though, so maybe I can go back to my mini kilt days for a little while :)
ReplyDeleteHaha I remember the goth/emo rivalry!
DeleteI LOVE IT. I LOVE IT. I LOVE IT.
ReplyDeleteWhy are you tying to eat Gizmo? What did gizmo ever do to you!?X
Because I was too cool for Gizmo. I really have no idea!
DeleteHa this post is amazing. I think most people went through this "phase" at some point!
ReplyDeleteOh god, I have that Gizmo and I bet if I looked I would have a wealth of very similar photos, oh to be young(er) again! X
ReplyDeleteOh this is taking me back. I had the full-on long hair, studded dog collar chokers, baggy skater pants with the chain, check print Vans, those long sleeve tops, lots of emo band T-shirts (Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, MCR etc) and loads and loads of black eyeliner. It also coincided with the time I went to the US and discovered Hot Topic *blushes furiously with shame*
ReplyDeleteOh well, such is life - if it wasn't for these fashion phases we'd never know what worked! And apparently red eyeshadow is in this season...
I loved my emo days, I was never allowed any piercings though which broke my heart! Haha.
ReplyDeleteKloe xxx
haha I love this post!

Loving the nostalgia trip I'm feeling right now...although I'm glad I don't have the photos to accompany it! x
ReplyDeleteSo much nostalgia! I try to look back on my emo days with fondness rather than embarrassment lol
