OOTD // Sweater Weather

Well, autumn is properly upon us now, isn't it? I've suddenly realised that I have no autumn-appropriate clothes which is ridiculous because, you know, I actually wore clothes last autumn. I've got an extortionate amount of clothes so I must have warmer garments in there somewhere but somehow it seems like I only have summer clothes right now. Thank God for Primark and their £10 cable knit jumpers! Grey jumper autumn outfit
Jumper: Primark (similar here)
Skater skirt: New Look
Tights: ASOS
Backpack: Primark (similar here)
Heels: Peacocks (similar here)

They're available in a huge range of colours but I was fairly restrained and only bought two-a grey cable knit jumper and a pale pink one. I may go back and buy just one more. Three seems like a good number, right? I want to experiment with more autumnal colours- perhaps a mustard. Do you reckon I'd look good in mustard?

In other news, have you tried looking for a plain black skater skirt lately? You'd think it's an easy task but my God, it's a challenge! It seems like every skirt available at the moment is either bodycon or A-line and it's even more difficult when you're above a size 14. After literally weeks of searching, New Look came to the rescue with this black skater skirt, which goes up to a size 32. Seriously, how can it be so difficult to find such a basic item?
Plus size autumn outfit
On my bottom half, I kept things simple with the dream tights I talked about last week and- get this- another pair of heels. I am on a freaking roll! I love these suede block heels because they're so versatile and also super comfortable to wear. Since the heel is so chunky, I had no problem walking over these cobbles!
Grey cable knit jumper Black backpack
Finally, I carried a simple black backpack. I bought this for my trip to Alton Towers next week as I wanted something I could carry hands-free but still be big enough to hold my camera and jacket. This Primark bag seemed perfect until I started using it and realised it pops open within seconds if I wear it on my back. Luckily, it has an extra strap so it can also be worn as a shoulder bag so it's no big deal. In fact, I probably feel more comfortable with my camera tucked safely under my arm and since there are zips inside for my phone and other essentials, I don't need to worry about things falling out.
Plus size fall outfit
Between my two jumpers and two new blanket wraps, I am fully prepared for autumn now. Bring it on!

  2. This is such a cute autumn outfit! I wouldn't have thought your jumper was from Primark when I first looked at the photos. I think mustard look lovely on you as well :D
It is true that it becomes harder now to find a simple skater skirt, they don't seem to be in fashion anymore. Which is a shame because they are the most flattering fit!

  6. I had the same feeling going through my wardrobe recently...how did I survive last autumn with 0 autumnal clothes?! So naturally I've been buying loads of jumpers to make up for it. I love that shade of grey - it really suits you! I've so far this autumn been all about camel and rust colours so I may have to go check out Primark to see if they have any in those colours! x
