FF VI: The Olympics Edition

I've started to dread Fridays since it marks another week of the holidays over! Oh well, still a month to go and now that payday has been, I can actually afford to fill my days with worthwhile things. I'm planning to visit a load of exhibitions before September arrives.

I'm totally buoyed by the Olympics. I really wasn't expecting to be this excited by it but it has dominated my whole week. This photo of tennis fashion in the 1960s is lovely. It's the inspiration for my look this weekend as I head up to London to visit Judy's Vintage Fair.

Also London 2012-based is this Tracey Emin Paralympics poster. Tracey Emin is my absolute favourite artist. I particularly love her handwritten work so when I saw this, I just had to have it! It's going to have pride of place in the living room. Such a beautiful message and a lovely addition to my print collection.

I couldn't publish this Olympics-themed list without mentioning table tennis. My little brother and I have accidentally become big fans of table tennis as a result of somehow managing to always turn the TV on just as GB's Paul Drinkhall was playing a match. We went into town to buy a table tennis se. Nowhere near as cool as this 1950s set, but fun nonetheless.

I also have two non-Olympian items: Both dresses that I have bought this week.

I debated about whether to buy this Romwe dress or not since I was low on cash. I'm very glad I did though. I can't wait to get my little paws on it! It looks very short so I might need some creative layering!

The second dress I've bought is this super cute Motel Rocks number. I love the bright colours and the cheery little print. I have some good news for you chicas too. If you like this as much as I do, or if something else takes your fancy, you can get 20% off at Motel Rocks with the code BeckyBedbug. Go on, treat yourself!

What have you been loving this week?

  5. I got that same Romwe dress! It is adorable but you're right, it's actually quite short! But not bad especially if you wear tights or something underneath. :)
