Review // Lush Celestial Moisturiser

I was gutted when I found out Lush had discontinued British Nanny, my favourite moisturiser. While mourning, I was offered Celestial in a blog sale and snapped it up. I'm glad to report that it's every bit as lovely as my beloved British Nanny!

Review of Lush Celestial Facial Moisturiser
PACKAGING

As usual with Lush moisturisers, Celestial is packaged in a 45g black pot with a twist top. It's secure and leak-proof, and the flattened pot makes it convenient for travelling. As a black pot, it's also part of the Lush recycling scheme in which you can exchange 5 pots for a free face mask.

FRAGRANCE

You know Ben and Jerry's Cookie Dough ice cream? Celestial smells just like that! The vanilla ingredients give it a warm, creamy note which is complemented with almond oil and cocoa butter for that cookie dough-esque fragrance.

CONSISTENCY & APPLICATION

Bear with me here. The consistency of Celestial is smooth and whipped, almost exactly like beaten egg whites. It's a very light but a little goes a long way, although you may need some extra product on particularly dry patches. This light formula means it's very easy to apply, absorbed quickly and leaves my skin feeling really smooth.
Blogger review Lush Celestial Moisturiser Although I prefer a heavier moisturiser for winter, I know Celestial is going to be a staple of my spring/ summer skincare regime!

  3. Celestial sounds like such a nice summer mosituriser! I never tried any of the Lush face creams as I'm always a bit worried, because I think they contain parabens. I might try and get a sample though and see how I get on with, because I love all their other products so much!

  4. You know what I've never heard of British nanny and although I don't necessarily know what each of their products are for (moisturiser etc) I think I do know most of the names x
