Nails // Essie Jazz

I was adamant that this time I was going to have bright pink nails- Essie Mod Square to be precise. It was a lovely sunny day, spring has finally sprung, I have no more work. A bright, happy colour just made perfect sense. Then I saw Essie Jazz and, well, you know me. I can't resist a good nude nail!

My usual nail guy was working on somebody else so I was assigned to the super-speedy lady. Her nails are a similar shape to mine but long and I guess she really likes long nails. I didn't realise until everybody commented on it afterwards that my talons are much longer than usual! To think they started this short! My mum said at the time "They'll get longer and longer" but I didn't believe her! Of course she was right. She's always right. Don't tell her I said that.

Jazz is the most perfect nude shade ever. It reminds me of pale nude Louboutins- something about the gloss and peachy-beige tone. Although I haven't tried it yet, I just know it's going to look amazing with my matte top coat too! I have found that this shade seems to show up the "layers" of polish but I'm not sure if that's just because this particular nail girl works so fast, compared to the precision of my usual guy.

I'm super happy with this shade. When I look at my hands, I can kid myself for a millisecond that maybe- maybe- I'm actually Kylie Jenner. Though I'm definitely getting that bright pink next time!

  2. Totally feeling the nude Christian Louboutin vibe from this like you said. It's a really pretty shade! I don't think I could handle the length though, I get annoyed at my nails now and they're not exactly anything to write home about.
