Review: Lush Love Lettuce Face Mask

Step aside, face masks. There's a new favourite in town. Lush Love Lettuce Face Mask is incredible! It's an odd one, because when you sniff the pot, you only get a tiny hint of lavender. Lavender is my favourite smell in the world (aside from chlorine!), so the key ingredient here was why I bought it, even though I could only detect that small fragrance. However, once it's on your face, you end up bathing in the wonderful soothing aromas of lavender oil and it's amazing!
Love Lettuce has a really interesting consistency. It contains ground almond shells, which gives it a bit of grit and ends up as a gentle exfoliant. Other ingredients include seaweed, honey and almond oil, so it's jam-packed with lovely nutrients for your skin.

As I applied Love Lettuce, I became insanely relaxed and soothed. I actually left the mask on for a lot longer than recommended as I couldn't bear to take it off! Afterwards, my skin felt smooth and soft, although admittedly not as replenished as some other masks, such as Cosmetic Catastrophe and Cupcake. It was well worth it for the experience alone, though. This is the perfect mask for the end of a long, hard day!

  1. This mask burned my skin and left it really red and sore, which is bizarre as it's quite simple in terms of ingredients and Lush masks usually work really well for me. I'm glad you liked it though! x

    1. Oh no! I'm allergic to the suncream which was strange as I get on so well with most Lush products.

  2. I've only recently dipped my toes into using Lush products. + I've been curious about face masks but always spend my money somewhere more "safe" for me.

The more I see reviews like these though, the more curious I get! Would this be a face mask you recommend ahead of others or do you have other "first timer" picks?

    1. My first one was Catastrophe Cosmetic and that was really good for my first time. It's very gentle. You can try the masks in store though, so pop along and ask the staff for some advice.

    1. I think we need to go swimming together and then frolic in a lavender field

    1. No I don't, although I am allergic to their suncream. This is about £6.95, I think.

  5. I loooove Love Lettuce! I've tried many of the Lush face masks but this one really helped my acne-prone skin! Lavender is also one of my favourite scents which is a huge plus :)

  6. I love Love Lettuce! It's my favourite of the fresh masks, but I think Mask of Magnaminty is ever so slightly better. The peppermint scent is amazing, and it leaves me with the freshest feeling skin!
