Nails // Essie Urban Jungle and Gemporia Emerald Ring

Since I'm heading to Amsterdam the day after I write this (by the time you read this, I'll be there!), I wanted to travel with nice, fresh nails. I splashed out on a new set of acrylics but kept the pointed shape I love so much. In fact, they ended up even pointier than usual and I am thrilled to bits with them!

The nail varnish I chose to wear this time is Essie Urban Jungle which was sent to me by Helen in one of our box swaps. Looking up swatches online, it looked like an interesting off-white shade but it's even better than I thought- more of a pinky shell tone and, despite the nude colour, came out really opaque with just two coats. I think it looks really elegant, and I love the way it looks on this nail shape.
My gorgeous ring here is from the emerald collection at Gemporia. It's a Zambian emerald ring set in stirling silver and surrounded by bands of white zircon. I usually favour more simple jewellery designs but I couldn't resist how opulent this one looked. I have a stunning black cocktail dress which is still waiting for the perfect occasion to be worn, and this ring would be the perfect piece to finish it off. Sophisticated but still making a statement. I love it!
