OOTD // Green Tartan

I wanted to call this post Silver and Cold but a) grey isn't really silver and b) emo lyrics as post titles is a bit passé, isn't it? This is the second of my Stockholm outfit posts, which I thought was taken along the banks of Gamla Stan. We just crossed a load of bridges and walked around down little side roads. Turns out I was way off- we were on the other side of the water, next to City Hall. What do I know, eh? Plus size winter outfit

My grey cable knit jumper has quickly become a staple of my wardrobe and has already been featured in an outfit post before. It's just so warm and comfortable, and it goes with practically everything! I especially love how well it matched my cable knit mittens. They've got a fluffy lining so they're really cosy but they are also incredibly impractical since you can't do a thing while wearing them!

This green checked skirt is so festive that I just couldn't resist! I love the shape- it's close fitting at the waist but then flares smoothly outwards. It gives me a really weird shape (see here) but I'm totally feeling it! Although it's only stocked up to a size 16, it's roomy and made of a stretchy jersey fabric so a size 18, and probably even a small 20, could easily wear it.

In my last post, I went on and on about how wonderful my Skechers boots are but now you get to see them close up. They're cute, right? Skechers definitely have a reputation for being ugly but I think these boots are more than passable! They're an absolute lifesaver in this weather with an insanely comfortable memory foam sole, grippable tread and completely waterproof. Can't go wrong!

Of course I wore my puffy jacket too, because I'm not a complete idiot! I've already talked all about that already so thought I'd brave the cold without it for the sake of these photos. The Swedes walking past looked at me like I was crazy but it was worth it. Just another sacrifice I make for the blog!

  1. Hey Becky

I love this post. I think the green tartan is the nearest we will ever get to seeing you in the hoops which personally I think you would rock.

    Lotsa Love
