Beauty Empties

Time for another sporadic beauty empties post! No matter how much I try to post regularly, they somehow always end up being forgotten about until I get fed up of empty packaging cluttering up my house. I'm pretty sure this isn't all of it because this doesn't look like a lot for 6 months worth!

BOBBI BROWN FACE TOUCH UP STICK

I'd been trying to find the perfect concealer for ages before I stumbled upon this. It is amazing! A really creamy consistency that is perfectly blended and buildable to give as much coverage as you need. The 'porcelain' shade works perfectly with my NARS foundation, and the shape makes it so easy to apply. I can't imagine using anything else.

Repurchase? Already have!

GARNIER MICELLAR OIL-INFUSED CLEANSING WATER

When I first bought this, I loved it! I thought I'd finally found my ultimate skincare product. I'd been suffering with really dry skin and the oil in this changed that so quickly that I thought it was a miracle! Once I finished the bottle, I quickly bought another but then, for some reason, things went horribly wrong when I reached the end of the second bottle. Suddenly it was making my skin more tight and dry than it had ever been before. After use, my skin was literally flaking off all over my face. I have no idea what happened but I'm gutted. Back to the drawing board!

Repurchase? Unfortunately I don't think that would be a good idea!

LAURA MERCIER HYDRATING FOUNDATION PRIMER

After leaving my Smashbox primer in a hotel room, I bought this to replace it. It was certainly  hydrating but I wasn't convinced by its qualities as a primer. It felt more like a moisturiser and I already have enough of those! Also, it finished really quickly so I wasn't impressed by that.
Repurchase? Nope, I bought Bare Minerals instead.

LUSH DON'T LOOK AT ME FACE MASK

When I was in Austria during the summer, my face was suffering in the heat and high altitude so I picked up a Lush face mask during a day trip to Vienna. This was fun because it made me look like a Smurf and it did do a great job of soothing my poor skin. I wasn't too keen on the strange clay-like fragrance lurking under the citrus though and, as always, it sat in my fridge forgotten about until I had to throw it away. Why do I even bother?

Repurchase? No, because as hard as I try, I'm not a face mask girl.

LUSH LORD OF MISRULE SHOWER CREAM

Is there anyone who doesn't like Lord of Misrule? The deep, spicy fragrance and rich, creamy consistency is just the remedy for cold winter nights. And how cute is this teeny tiny little bottle?

Repurchase? Of course! As soon as Halloween rolls around, I'll be snapping it up!

LUSH PRINCE CHARMING SHOWER CREAM

Somehow I always end up with this even though I don't like it. Rich doesn't mind it though so it still gets used up. There's something about the pomegranate that I really, really can't stand. It has a kind of rancid sweetness in it and it just doesn't agree with me at all.

Repurchase? I've seen it's back in stores for Valentine's Day but I'm trying my best to avoid it!

LUSH R&B HAIR MOISTURISER

I wasn't sure when I first bought this because of the heavy floral but oh man, I love it! It's perfect for taming my frizzy hair. If I'm not straightening it, I run some through when it's wet and it helps dry into tame curls. When I straighten and my hair goes a bit fluffy, I run a teeny tiny bit through and it keeps everything smooth. Besides, I've grown quite attached to the smell and I get compliments about it from time to time. The only problem I've found is that wasps love it and in summer I'm forever swatting them away from my head!

Repurchase? Yes, I already have! It's a Dutch one!

LUSH ROSE JAM SHOWER GEL

Oh, we all love Rose Jam, right? The true smell of Christmas! Floral and sweet without being sickening, it's perfect for when I want to pamper myself!

Repurchase? Of course! I've stocked up from this Christmas and should have enough to see me through until next year.

LUSH SNOW CAKE SHOWER GEL

I bought this in the Kitchen during the 2015 Christmas period and it somehow ended up right at the back of my bathroom drawers, completely forgotten about. When I found it again, I started using it regularly and wow, it's good! A rich, marzipan fragrance which leaves my skin almost good enough to eat!

Repurchase? I'll certainly be keeping an eye out in the Kitchen for it!

LUSH SNOW FAIRY SHOWER GEL

You know, I'm not a big fan of Snow Fairy. I used to love it but then I stocked up one year and overused it. Now I'm just a bit bored of it. Unfortunately, Rich didn't know this when he bought me the 1kg bottle for Christmas 2015, bless him! Of course I still used it because I do still like it, but I didn't buy any more this past Christmas.

Repurchase? Maybe. I might leave it a couple of years first.

LUSH SNOWMAN SHOWER JELLY

This is my favourite of all the Lush fragrances. It's supposed to smell like carrots, I think, but it's more of a mellow citrus. It's amazing! Every Christmas I stock up with so many pots that I'm not able to use them all in the year. Last year I took a risk and didn't buy any more since I have so many to get through still, so if it doesn't return this Christmas, I'll be gutted!

Repurchase? I really bloody hope so!

LUSH THE OLIVE BRANCH SHOWER GEL

I'd heard good things about this shower gel for years but never actually tried it. A shop assistant talked me into it and man, I'm glad I went for it! It has a delicious, quite subtle citrus fragrance and is infused with olive oil for a super moisturising effect, leaving my skin silky smooth. I can't get enough of it.

Repurchase? I haven't yet but I'll get on that shortly!

LUSH ULTRABLAND CLEANSER

Confession time: I bought this in 2014, used it for a few weeks and then left it in my bathroom cabinet where it was forgotten about until I cleaned it out. Oops! I loved it at first (as you will see in my awful review below. It's ok, I'm cringing too!) but I quickly got fed up of the quite greasy consistency.

Repurchase? Nope, I prefer the thicker, creamier cleansers.

LUSH YUMMY MUMMY SHOWER CREAM

I bloody love this shower gel! It has a warm, comforting floral which I love so I made sure to stock up with a 500g bottle last year. I did want the 1kg one but Rich talked me out of it. It should hopefully be returning soon so maybe I can buy a massive bottle then!

Repurchase? Assuming it comes back for this Mothers' Day, yes yes yes!

Full review of Lush Yummy Mummy here

Hopefully I won't leave it another six months before posting my next empties post. I can't deal with having this many empty bottles lying around!
