Yankee Candle review: Vanilla Chai

Rich is convinced I asked for this specific scent for Christmas, but I'm positive that he chose it himself. Although it's part of the food and spice family, which I love, I don't think I would have picked a fragrance called Vanilla Chai. It has that tea connotation, and I hate tea! Nevertheless, it turns out this was a great choice. I think it's one of my favourite Yankee fragrances.
Although it contains vanilla, it's nothing like the sickly sweetness of scents such as Vanilla Cupcake. Instead, it's mixed with cinnamon and ginger, and it's absolutely gorgeous. It's such a warming, spicy fragrance which fills the whole room. I've never lit a candle that has a throw as great as this one.

It's also lovely to walk into the house and have this burning away (obviously with Rich in the house- I don't leave it lit with nobody in!). It has a real comforting, "welcome home" feel to it. Perfect when I come home cold and wet after a long day at work!

  1. I brought this myself as I love the smell, I'm not a fan of very milky sort of tea but this is amazing that I just had to get the jar, tea lights, sampler, and wax tart. It's now my number one favourite along with Bahama Breeze.
