OOTD // Navy for autumn

When I first got my car, I vowed to drive over to Waverley Abbey for some outfit photos and, for one reason or another, it just didn't happen. Now, finally, I have done it with an autumnal outfit from George at Asda.

Waverley Abbey is a short drive from us and was England's first Cistercian abbey. It was founded in 1128 and housed over 100 monks before Henry VIII got hold of it during the dissolution of the monasteries in 1536. The ruins still stand and are absolutely beautiful, especially on a sunny day like this! When I was a teenager, I used to come here at night with a group of friends and go ghosthunting. I don't know how I did it because it would terrify me these days!

My leaf print top and navy skater skirt are both from George at Asda. I especially love the skirt as it has pockets! Every skirt should have pockets if you ask me. So handy! They go really nicely with my navy suede ballet flats from New Look (similar here) and are the perfect shade as autumn creeps up on us.

This autumn/winter, I want to experiment more with deep lips so I cracked out the Viva Glam Rihanna lipstick. Definitely one I'll be returning to throughout the season!

  13. Ooo I thought you were wearing a dress when I first saw this post! I love that the two pieces pair so perfectly together. This looks like such a cool place to visit too. I wish we had structures that are this old in the US.

  15. This looks very much like Thetford Priory (although I guess all ruins like this pretty much look similar) where my boyfriend had his first experience that kicked off his paranormal career. My first experience was in Derby Gaol x
