OOTD // Tartan Dress & Christmas Cardigan

Now that December is here, you better believe I'm going all out with the festive fashion. I've been a Christmas jumper advocate for a long time now and one of my favourite things to do each year is buy a nice new addition to my collection.

This cardigan is from Primark and I get so many compliments when I wear it. It makes me laugh because even 5 years ago, it would have been completely hideous. Maybe a couple of renegades would have worn it as a joke but it would have been widely repulsive. Now I feel perfectly happy wearing it in a totally non-ironic way and it's possibly my favourite item of festive knitwear. It's insanely warm and snuggly. In fact, I'm wearing it over my (Christmas) pyjamas as I write this post! I only wish it was acceptable to wear all year round.
While we're on the topic of Christmas knitwear, how amazing is my Christmas pudding hat? Also from Primark, I bought it in the Manchester store which has an insane selection of Christmas products. I actually bought two and, believe it or not, the second one is more festive than this!
There was really only one option for what to wear underneath all this Christmas stuff- red tartan. I can't get enough of tartan this season, as you'll soon see! This gorgeous red tartan dress is from Dolly and Dotty, who sell lovely vintage-inspired pieces, and is perfect for this time of year. I was a little worried about sizing but I'm pleased to say the dress is true to size and fits perfectly. It's also really comfortable and, because it's a full circle skirt, it's really fun to spin around in!
I think I'm set for Christmas!
