HQ Hair Birthday Party and Good Ship Benefit

Recently, HQ Hair celebrated their 17th birthday and, to celebrate, threw a fancy blogger party in London. I was very happy to be invited along to the celebrations in Park Plaza Westminster along with a whole host of blogging babes. Since the venue was so close to Embankment, I started off with a trip to the Good Ship Benefit. London Sunset
I met up with Ami on the train and together we headed to the ship where we found Fran. After being given a guided tour of the ship by the "captain", we ordered a few cocktails, taking advantage of the free mini mascara with every order, and headed into the Rollerlash lounge. It was everything my dreams are made of- pretty, pink and filled with cheesy tunes. Surprisingly for a Friday evening, it was also really quiet!

After a couple of drinks downstairs, we decided to head up onto the Hoola deck and enjoy the sunset. At this point, Hayley joined us for a good gossip before we heading back across the Thames to the Park Plaza.

When we got to the party venue, it was already filled with familiar faces, including Terri who was one of the brains behind the event. I was very happy to see platters of mini cheeseburgers which were absolutely delicious! Once the savoury canapes had been consumed, the staff brought around trays of desserts, including macarons, before cutting into the most delicious birthday cake and bringing everyone a pretty sizeable slice!

Everybody knows that a party isn't a party unless there's a photobooth, and I was particularly grateful for this one as the low lighting meant my photos weren't up to scratch. Turns out, I didn't need to take any, since I came out with armfuls of photobooth shots which are way more fun than anything I could have taken myself!

At the end of the night, we were very generously sent home with wonderful goody bags filled with HQ Hair products including samples of Bliss Drench 'n' Quench moisturiser, GlamGlow Dual Cleanse treatment and a full size Nudetude Eyeshadow Palette from The Balm. I'll be trying them out and writing reviews shortly so keep an eye out for them!
A huge thanks to everyone at HQ Hair for such a great night!
