This week, I headed to the Joe Blogs offices, no less, for a games evening in collaboration with L&G investments. Since the board game that screams investing is Monopoly, this was the theme for the evening, along with pizza and too much Prosecco.
On arrival at the frankly amazing office space, we had some time to chill out and chat before teaming up in groups of 8. This bit felt like being back at school, frantically grabbing your friends so you don't end up on your own. Luckily I ended up in what was clearly the best group, with Sarah, Laura, Georgina, Charlie, Emma, Katy and Jasmin. Let me tell you, these girls are hilarious!
We started playing with the best of intentions, although we did have some differing opinions on the rules (Charlie's rule for winning- waiting until everyone else falls asleep and then shouting "MONOPOLY!"- was a highlight) but everything went out the window once we were introduced to our table mascot, Dino the Prosecco.
Nevertheless, somehow we ended up playing something that resembled Monopoly and, much to everyone's surprise, Charlie actually came in third place!
I had such an amazing night! Thank you so much to Joe Blogs, L&G and all the girls who kept me thoroughly entertained!
PS: On Twitter, I threatened Sarah that I would publish the photo she took of herself when I went to the toilet and she stole my camera. Never let it be said that I don't follow out my threats:
Sounds like such a fun night, I hope they do another one sometime :) Aha and Sarah still looks really pretty even when pulling a face!
