In all honesty

After my post on how I organise myself as a blogger, I got a slew of comments and emails from people who were desperate to know how I keep my life so organised. You want to know a secret? I don't! I am honestly crazy organised when it comes to my blog but I think I overcompensate for being so incredibly disorganised in my real life. In fact, the children at work have taken it upon themselves to assign me a "reminder whiteboard", and they write reminders of everything I say I need to do. They quickly learned that it would pop right out of my head if they didn't remind me!

So, to reassure you that I am actually a real-life person (albeit one more disorganised than most), I have catalogued a series of photos to show you my genuine, 100% honest, completely disorganised life.

This is how I usually look when I'm blogging- In a onesie (yes, Leona, this is my dinosaur one!), with my hair unbrushed, and no make up on. Glamorous!

This is my, erm, studio (by which I mean living room). As you can see, there are clothes everywhere! Clothes and clutter.
Coffee table essentials- Sudocrem, lip balm and deodorant. Erm, yeah. My living room seems to be slowly turning into a bathroom.
My dressing table in its usual state of affairs.

Note how my perfume collection is perfectly stored. I don't want any clutter ruining that!
The bedroom is actually pretty tidy. As you can see, there's nothing but the essentials on the bedside tables, and one rogue magazine on the floor. I'm very proud of keeping the bedroom mostly clutter-free!

Ok, I hope you're ready for this! This is the spare room, more commonly used as my walk in wardrobe.
Clothes everywhere you look. I do have a storage system:
It's just nowhere near sufficient for my collection.
Oh, and did I mention that I actually have a real wardrobe stuffed to the brim? Guess what's under the bed... More clothes! And under that big pink blanket covering the desk a couple of photos above... More clothes! I give it 6 months before you see me on Secret Hoarders

So there you have it- My top secret. I am one messy pup! Luckily for me, I have Rich who is a lot tidier than me and tends to run around behind me picking everything up. The problem is, I seem to be quicker than him!

  1. Hahaha this is brilliant! It has made me realise that maybe I really don't have that many clothes. I'm glad you actually aren't hyper-organised! x

  3. Oh man I hate to be messy. Somehow, though, after living with boys and no one to tell us to pick up... I guess I picked up their bad habits instead of them picking up mine. Note to EVERYONE: Do not board with guys only when they are messy- you might succumb!

  5. *glass shatters* you mean to tell us, people of the internet, that you aren't an OCD-level organised machine of a woman!? *collective gasp*

LOL I love it! I reckon some days are better than others for most people -- particularly in the "public" spaces of their homes. I'll probably need a person who's like Rich because well, I'm this post.

What sweet kids you have in your class.
