House Tour: Dressing Room

Yeah, I have a dressing room. It's actually one of the bedrooms but, you know, I need extra room for all my clothes. Although, my clothes tend to live in the spare room, the living room and the laundry basket. I'm one of those people.
I keep my cotton pads in a Yankee Candle jar. Cute idea, right? I need to replenish!
This is Colin. My friend from uni has Colin's wife, Marjorie.
I don't even know what I keep in these storage boxes. I think they're empty. Maybe I should find out.
My dressform, Doris, wears a vintage 1950s wedding dress. She looks beautiful, other than when it's dark, in the middle of the night, and she's lurking in the corner all ghost-like.
My vintage wooden musical jewellery box. It's in pretty bad condition and was way overpriced, but the music still plays and I wanted it so desperately. Rich very kindly treated me to it.
A cute little thing that hangs on the dressing room door. I think my mum bought it for us when we first got our own place.

  5. I'm sorry, but Doris would scare the absolute shit out of me at night times. So much so that she wouldn probably have to be hidden away at all times! x

    1. Luckily I only see her if I have to get up in the night, but I do need to remind myself that she's there before I freak out!

    2. There is a plank of wood rested against our bedroom wall and if i'm awake at night (apparently trying to freak myself out) then I just imagine it's some serial killer. IT'S A PLANK OF BLOODY WOOD. x

  7. I think it is such a shame that your house tour photo's are only detail photo's! I always love to see other peoples homes/rooms (yeah i'm nosy ;) ). But from what I can see it looks lovely.
