World Book Day

I love themed days at work. I love to dress up and plan loads of fun activities, so World Book Day is one of my favourite days in the school calendar. Last year, I went as Alice in Wonderland, which you can see in this terribly Photoshopped post! This year, I didn't have quite as much notice, but a last-minute dash into Primark sorted me out with a vague kind of costume!
I'm Baby Bear! Everything here is from Primark, including a pair of ballet pumps in the same taupe shade. This isn't a colour I'd have chosen were it not for this costume, but I quite like it. Just not altogether! The hat is actually a 4 year old's hoodie! I couldn't find a suitable hat so I just put this on and shoved the jumper part down the back of my cardigan.

When I got to work, I used some poster paint to give myself a little bear face.
It's a shame I didn't have longer to work on my costume. I think I'll start preparing for next year now. I already know what I want to be!

  1. I love this costume!! My aunty is the managing director of World Book Day so she would be very happy to know that you went to the effort of dressing up!

  2. This is just too cute! I had completely forgotten it was World Book Day, which is weird considering I blogged about two books the day before! I was hoping to dress up my toddler for it, which considering not many people where I live like books/reading, probably would have warranted some strange looks!

    1. I think you should dress your toddler up anyway! Maybe with a sign saying "READ MORE BOOKS!"

I love comments more than I love Alan Rickman (...that's a lot!)

I reply to comments every Sunday so check back to see my response. Even though I might not be able to reply to every single comment, especially those on older posts, (I'm only human, as much as I may seem like a truly awesome dinorobot), I really do appreciate every single one.
