How to be a Fat B #5

This week's assignment is You're So Vain. The basic premise is to love yourself and take a whole load of photos of yourself. Since I do this on a daily basis anyway (yeah, I'm pretty vain as it is), I'm going to use this opportunity to show you some of my favourite photos of myself. Yep, I'm going to go ahead and say I look gorgeous in these photos!

I'll get the embarrassing one out of the way first. In my defence, this was taken in 2010 when Hipstamatic was all the rage. Now it just looks hideously uncool! As I was going through my photos, trying to find ones I really liked, I found that a lot of the ones I was drawn to were from my slimmer days. Obviously, that's not going to help me be a Fat B! This one is me at my heaviest weight, most definitely fat and I think I look great!
I love this photo because I look so dainty. I don't mean slim. I just mean small, petite, fragile. I'm none of those things. I'm 5'4", so that's a pretty average height, but next to the giant that is the Hogwarts Express conductor, I look like a little fairy!
I'm wearing Minnie Mouse ears in Florida, and I'm super happy. What more is there to say?
I love my eyes in this photo. They really look huge, but not in a creepy way which can sometimes happen with me. I also love that the flash has made me really pale. I'm a big fan of pale skin!
My hair is pretty much perfection in this photo. Yep, I said it.
I love my skin here. It looks really smooth and my blusher has been applied pretty perfectly, even if I do say so myself! The colour of my eyes is really interesting here too.
I just think I look like a cute little puppy here. I'm ok with that.

Wow, that was weird. Just typing what I like about each photo made me feel a little uncomfortable. I guess we're conditioned to feel guilty about telling people what we like about ourselves. You should try it- It's a very interesting experience!

  1. I love this! We are conditioned to look at photos and see everything that's wrong with ourselves- which sucks! These are great photos and you look beautiful in every one!

    1. I think everyone just sees flaws in their photos. It felt so weird to actually write "I like this because..."

  6. You are the cutest, and I love this project. It's so important to recognize the things we love about ourselves. It's far too easy to get wrapped up in the negatives. You look absolutely stunning in these photos! And, good on you for being vain. ;)

  9. You look so cute stood with that gigantic Hogwarts conductor! He is so tall!! I now realise that I am going to look like a giant if (if!!) we are ever stood next to each other, I'm just under 5'8!

Your hair does look perfect in that picture, it looks awesome! I bet it was a very sad time taking it out.

That picture of you in the red dress with "flicky" eyeliner (technical term) is my favourite, your eyes look adorable and the colour of your dress looks ace!

    1. I'm pretty sure we will be at some point! I don't even wear heels so I'll look like a dwarf!

I always hate taking my hair out when I've done a good job of it!

  11. I love the photo of your with the Hogwarts Express conducter haha! He looks like a chipper fellow! And for some reason I like photos of me where I look small as well... not sure why. I'm the same height as you and I quite like my height :) the photo where you said you like your eyes is beautiful! You really have lovely eyes!
This is a really good idea. I get a bit worried that people think I'm self-obsessed or something when I say I don't really have issues with my body shape, sure I don't like my nose or my cellulite (and strangely my big toes?!?) but there are people who suffer with much worse issues. So I find it embarassing to complain about stupid things like a bumpy nose. I think we should celebrate the things we like about ourselves more, as you've done here!
