My diaries January- August 2004

At the beginning of 2004, I was 15 and really into the diary writing. I went through three notebooks in 8 months. Crazy! As always, spelling and grammar has been left intact.

Sometimes I come across something that is so funny and I wish I could include it but it's either too personal or reveals too much about other people. It's a shame but at least I can laugh about them to myself!
Jocelyn (2nd January 2004- 10th March 2004)

"A bit about me:
I hope that one day, I'll be famous for my diaries, like Anne Frank or Samuel Pepes. You're my 6th diary. My first was Cally, who lasted for 3 years; My 2nd Emma-Rae for 8 months; My next Tallulah who lasted 5 months; Then Esmée-Lola for 2 months (she was very small); and my last was Felicity who lasted 5 months.
I have brown hair which is very curly (and frizzy) and shoulder-length, and I wear small "antique-brown" FCUK rectangular-ish glasses and fixed braces. I'm 15 1/2, a prefect and would like to be an interior designer. I have been "seeing" [a guy] (18) for a few weeks but I haven't seen him in a while so I don't know what's happening!"

29th January 2004
"Amanda gave me 'how to get a guy' lessons for some reason. One thing she said was to stop being immature. As if! Apparently [Amanda's boyfriend] hates me 'cos I'm immature and annoying...Then Marie came round so that was ok. I told her and we decided to show him just how immature we could be. We ran down the hill, then went ice-skating on frozen puddles going "weeeee!" and figure skating."

2nd February 2004
"'Operation Look Beautiful' didn't work very well. No-one noticed."

4th February 2004
"School was quite funny today. In Art, Chris, Barry and Marie kept a tally (written on Chris' arm!) of how many times Me and Gari flirted. They said 67, but I don't think that's strictly true. I mean in 45 minutes? That's like, flirting 1.49 times a minute! Is that possible?"

Francie (8th April 2004- 25th June 2004)
"A bit about me:

I Hope that one day, I'll become famous for my diaries like Anne Frank or Samuel Pepes.
You are my seventh diary. My first, Cally, lasted three years, and my second, named Emma-Rae, lasted eight months. My third diary was called Tallulah, who I had for 5 months and Esmée-Lola, my tiny fourth diary, lasted only two months. I had my fifth, Felicity, for five months, and my last diary Jocelyn for two months. I hope that you will be as faithful to me as they were.
I am 15 years old, and have mousey brown, shoulder-length curly hair. I wear brown glasses, and braces with purple and pink bands."
16th June 2004:
"I think I'm too unforgiving. Even now I don't trust Amanda completely (after she told Ashleigh about me!)"

19th June 2004:
"Guess what? I went downstairs, and there on the shelf was an envelope addressed to Becky Bedbug!"

23rd June 2004:
"Oh my god! A scary old man just came round to read the gas meter. I was like ah! What do I do? He smelt aswell. I was thinking "what if he turns into a crazed loon and kills me? Aaah!". But he didn't. Obviously!"

Lily-Marie (26th June 2004- 3rd August 2004)
"A bit about me:

I hope that one day, I'll become famous for my diaries like Anne Frank or Samuel Pepes.
You are my eighth diary. My first, Cally, lasted three years; my second, named Emma-Rae, lasted eight months. My third diary was called Tallulah, who I had for 5 months and Esmée-Lola, my fourth diary, lasted two months. I had my fifth, Felicity, for five months; Jocelyn, my sixth diary, for two months; and my last diary, named Francie, also lasted two months. I hope that you will be as faithful to me as they were.
I am sixteen years old, and have brown, shoulder-length curly hair. I wear 'antique-brown' glasses and braces with purple and pink bands."

Wednesday 30th June 2004:
"I met up with Dave, and we were just driving around when he suggested going to the cinema. Then we went to McDonald's. He paid for everything, bless him!"
