This one thing I really love

I've seen this concept on Jes' blog, The Militant Baker, (aka Goddess of Gorgeous Fat Awesomeness!) and thought I'd give it a whirl. Here's the deal: I've had about 7 years of ups-and-downs with my body. I've gone from pretty thin, to mega chunky, and back again. And back again. And back. Again. 
One thing has always stayed constant: My waist. It's disproportionately tiny compared to the rest of my body but I love the shape it gives me. It's sometimes a pain: Skirts will not sit on my hips, t shirts ride up and bunch around my waist, and I can't wear button-up tops on account of my insane bust-to-waist ratio, but I'm not one to complain. I love it.

 In honour of my amazing hourglass waist (yeah, I said it!), here are some of my favourite photos showing it off!

    that babe in the purple dress and blue shirt is bangin'! i'm the same - no matter how much weight i put on or lose, i have teeny tiny shoulders and waist! i love my curves! x

    Your figure is gorgeous! I'm exactly the same too, my waist always stays at least ten inches smaller than my bust and hips. xo

    You're a hot tamale. Seriously. You're gorgeous at any size. And it's awesome that you love your waist. It's one of the things I first noticed about you when I started following Becky Bedbug. It's definitely an amazing feature.

    If I had to choose my favourite feature (this is going to sound weird), I'd say my eyebrows! Ha. They're probably my most distinct feature (and I've worked really hard to get them JUST SO.)

    Hourglass is the best figure. I'd rather be curvy than a size 6 any day. You look great btw in love the black and white polka dot dress.

    Great pictures :) And I have a similar problem with my waist. Honestly, compared to the rest of my figure it's suuuper tiny! And stuff fits weird because of it. But, like you said...it is amazing :)

    Ahh, can just say how insanely jealous I am that you have a waist? Seriously, A WAIST! That is the stuff of my dreams. I'm all straight up and down, and wish so badly that I had even a hint of a curve to my shape! Loving the black and white polkadots up there, you look gorgeous! Even though you look gorgeous in all your photos, I can see why these pictures are your favourites! xx

    I'm like you too, I have a really small waist in comparison to the rest of me! Probably my favourite part of my appearance.

    I can't wear skirts either, they sit right under my boobs because my waist is so high and flare out rather unflatteringly over my big wide hips!! xx
