Yesterday, it was 29 degrees in London. I thought it would be a great day to visit The British Museum- Inside all day, in air conditioning... How wrong I was! It was so hot, so stuffy, absolutely packed to the brim and the main foyer has a glass ceiling. I felt like I was melting! Still, I had a good day and managed to take some photos of the exhibits. My favourites were the mummies and skeletons- I'm morbid like that! How cute is my lucky cat keyring?
This looks so interesting! I'll have to visit if I ever go to London. I think the mummies would be my favourite too, Egyptian history is so interesting.
I love that museum. I only go to go once about three years ago now when I went on a family trip, but it was amazing. That picture of the mummy that still has some hair is really interesting.
I read all comments and appreciate every single one, even if I can't always reply. If you have a question or need a reply, feel free to tweet me @BeckyBedbug- I always reply to tweets!
That glass ceiling is stunning but it is so bloody hot! I love the mummies too, I took my little sister when she was doing ancient egypt at school!
ReplyDeleteTell me about it! We were boiling! We went to look at mummies for an Egyptian topic too :)

I'm not the biggest fan of Egyptian history (I prefer more modern history, like the Victorians) but the mummies were amazing!
Deletewow that museum looks so amazing! I hope someday I'll have the chance to visit it :)
