A visit from my family

This weekend has been insanely busy. In between jetting off (well, railwaying off) to London, Bath and Bristol, I managed to squeeze in a time for a visit from my dad, brother and sisters who were down from Liverpool.

Here's my sisters! Millie, on the left, is 13 and Eleanor is 11.

They're both very athletic girls, especially Millie. She has been a gymnast for a quite a few years now, so she's very supple!

I don't quite have the same gymnastic skill!

Eleanor's outfit is "all Primark and Peacocks".

I love her polkadot Primark satchel.

We decided it would be nice to take some proper family portraits. Jamie and I couldn't resist messing around at the back!
Eleanor suggested we all imitate our dad with big, cheesy, Wallace and Gromit-style grins.

I love this photo of the three generations of my family. My grandma is such a stylish lady. Look at her gorgeous outfit!
As we left, it transpired that Eleanor had hidden from us. I wonder where she could have been...

By the way, if you enjoy reading my blog and would like to see me up for a Cosmopolitan Blog Award, you can nominate me for Best Lifestyle Blog here. I'll send virtual cake to everyone who nominates!

  1. You have such a gorgeous family. Your little sisters are super cute. I think there's about the same age gap as between my sisters and I. I'm 21 (22 next month) and they're 5 and 8. My brother's 17.
Looks like you had lots of fun xx

    1. That sounds about right. My other brother is 14 so there's 12 years between us, then 13 years between me and Millie, and 15 years between me and Eleanor. On the other hand, there's only 15 months between me and Jamie. It's funny!

    1. I don't get to see my dad and sisters very often as they live in Liverpool. I think this is only the third time I've seen them in 5 years or something, so it was really nice to see them.

  4. What a fantastic bunch of photos, I'm so envious of the gymnastic skills, especially the one where Milie is halfway off the ground in those cartwheels things that you don't need to use your hands for. I've always wanted to do that. Eleanor has gorgeous hair and your grandma is stylish indeed. I do like the twinkle in her eye. Thanks for sharing

    1. I know! I'm so jealous too. She practised that no-handed cartwheel thing over and over again, and finally managed to do it properly. She was so proud of herself and, luckily, I was recording it!
