I adore mixing patterns, especially when they include spots. Spots and stripes. Spots and checks. Spots and more spots. The clashier, the better. (Clashier is totally a word!). There's also something about monochrome that just sets my heart alight. I know it might not be very summery, but it just pleases me so much!
If you look very closely in the main image, you might be able to see this gorgeous Erin Cox pendant that I'm wearing. You may have noticed that I'm not one for big flashy jewellery, so this delicate design is ideal for me. I have a bit of an affinity with pearls since they're my birthstone. Every attendee at the South West Blog Social in June was given a voucher for a gift of a mini floating pearl pendant at the Erin Cox store. As I'm not an Exeter local, the lovely girls at Erin Cox kindly sent my necklace on to me. I'm hugely grateful to them and I love the pendant!

  1. The pendant is so lovely! I think your outfit is actually quite summery looking (aren't monochromes a summer trend? haha) Either way, you look beautiful :)

  2. I love pearls, I don't know why, I just think they always look so elegant and pretty. Pattern mixing? Yes please! I find black and white stripes/spots are great as an exciting basic item. Much better than black or white.

  4. I love mixing prints as well :) usually florals, which is a bit of a headache, but also abstract prints. Also love monochrome. This summer though I'm trying to be really colourful cause I'm loving pastels at the moment! Great post and really cute necklace!
