Review // Lush Pumice Power Foot Soap
Foot care is something I really care about since I suffer from horribly dry heels. If I don't keep them super-duper moisturised, they get really, really bad so I tend to use a lot of product on them and, of course, this is almost exclusively from Lush. Needless to say, I made a beeline for the foot care section when I visited their Oxford Street store, and picked up Pumice Power.
Pumice Power is labelled a foot soap, but is more of a solid-scrub-stroke-pumice-stone. Once a week or so, I rub this over my feet when I'm in the bath to buff off the dry skin. It's quite rough so I try not to be too vigorous with it but luckily a gentle scrub is more than enough. It's perfectly shaped to fit within the palm of your hand, with a tapered tip to get into those hard to reach places.
The orange oil creates an absolutely divine fragrance which has the bonus of being deodorising, so I end up with silky soft feet that smell fresh too. As it's technically a soap rather than a scrub, it creates a bit of lather too and makes my feet feel really smooth.
Other than being perhaps a tad too rough, the only problem I have is that it ends up making my bath really gritty when I rinse my feet. Of course the answer to this is to either use this separately from the bath or while showering, but I'm lazy like that!
Now that Stepping Stone has been discontinued (which is no great loss, let's be honest!), Pumice Power has swooped in to replace it and is now available online and in stores across the country. Hooray! I definitely recommend a try if you're looking for smooth, refreshed tootsies.

Ooo I haven't seen this in my local Lush store yet! I usually just rely on a pumice stone & some foot cream but it's pretty cool this seems to combine the two in one. Definitely need to try this out :) Xx
ReplyDeleteI definitely need one of these! I'm on my feet all day and I really suffer with dry heels too, I really have to keep on top of them and it can be so frustrating. This is getting popped on my pay day wishlist, thanks xo

I've been eyeing this up online recently because my feet really are shameful at the moment and could do with some love before my holiday in September! I'll probably pick it up soon seeing as it seems to have worked for you :)

I would love this, but I'm not fan of left over grittiness. I feel like I find the little grit all over my body later in the day too.

I suffer really dry heels too so can't wait to try this! I didn't manage to get it when it was in the kitchen, and when I was in search of a foot hero the lady in Lush in Nottingham told me this was coming soon to replace Stepping Stone - definitely got to get my hands on it now. The scent sounds so much more appealing than Stepping Stone and the shape looks like it's been designed really well for the use!

I need to try something like this. My feet are very often neglected when it comes to moisturising and that sort of stuff...
ReplyDeleteI've not tried this one but I did try Stepping stone and to be honest it was a bit of a waste of time, as soon as it came into contact with water it just crumbled! x
