Review // Lush Skydancer Bath Bomb

As most bloggers will know, Lush have built their brand on promoting causes that improve the world for humans and animals alike. One of the ways they do this is by periodically releasing special limited edition products to raise funds. Right now, the bright Skydancer- Far From the Madding Guns Bath Bomb is in store to fund equipment that will help the endangered hen harrier birds.
Review of the limited edition Lush bath bomb, Skydancer- Far From the Madding Guns, to raise funds for endangered harrier hen chicks
As you can see, it looks stunning, inspired, I imagine, by hen harriers flying across the sun; a turquoise bird spreads his wings across a bright yellow disk. The bird is elevated above the base so when it's placed carefully in the water, the yellow circle puffs up and dissolves faster, giving the impression of a bird floating across the surface of the water. Although the base dissolves quickly, the bird takes a good while to disappear and creates a lovely yellow foam across the water. Once it's all fizzed up, the water is left a yellowed lime colour.

The scent is a fruity-floral. The bergamot and lemon oils are immediately noticeable but there's also a hint of aniseed which is interesting as this is not a listed ingredient. The end result is an invigorating, refreshing bath with a fragrance that lingers on the skin.

Compared to other Lush bath bombs, Skydancer is pretty large and the uplifting fragrance is worth the purchase alone, even if it wasn't for the added bonus of helping little chicks!

  2. I love the sound of this and the beautiful oils used! I always like relaxing bath bombs but energizing ones are just as good especially when packed full of my favourite citrus oils :) I'll be trying this one too! x
