This coming Friday is 13th December which, if you didn't already know, is Christmas Jumper Day. You all know that I love a good Christmas jumper, so this is right up my street. Don a jumper on Friday, donate £1 to Save the Children and help children living in poverty all over the world.
There are loads of great things going on to raise money, including this incredible designer jumper auction. Fancy buying a Burberry, McQueen or Westwood Christmas jumper for less than £1? The winner of this auction will be the one with the lowest unique bid, rather than the highest. Amazing!
If the anticipation of an auction isn't your cup of tea, you could head to John Lewis and buy one of their christmas jumpers designed for Save The Children. £25 from each sale will go to the charity. If you're a little more crafty, you can also get involved yourself by knitting your own Christmas jumpers and buying wool from Deramores, who will donate 50p from every order.
Throughout December, Westfield is hosting a number of events to support the cause. Whether it's knitting workshops or family story time, I'm sure you'll find something for you. There's a festive photo booth and a possibility that somebody famous might just sneak into your snaps. Personally, I'm pretty desperate to go to the Gruffalo story session, with an appearance from the guy himself.
The best bit, though, is that Westfield is teaming up with bloggers to donate a bunch of money. For every blogger that snaps a selfie in a Christmas jumper, posts about it and sends it to @westfieldstrat with the hashtag #Selfies4STC, Westfield will donate £10. Awesome, right?
It's important for me to point out that this post is in no way sponsored. I really do care about raising money to help children and I want to spread the message. The more people that get involved, the better! So grab your festive woolies and let's raise some money!
Christmas jumpers are the best thing about Christmas!
